Anonymous said: Hey, I hope you're doing alright :) it's been a while since you posted and I wanted to check that you are okay, Best wishes
Hello Nonnie! Thanks for checking on me. Those of you that follow my personal blog already know I’ve been dealing with a significant flare as well as other offline stuff.
I thought I was going to have an MRI today but it’s been rescheduled, so once I get another pain pill in me (and some food) I’m going to try and do some illustration work! I have 1 about halfway done, and the next few lined up ready to just jump in.
I want to try and build up a queue of related posts too things on disability and spoonie life etc. so that even if I can’t get illustrations up as regularly there’s still something to SEE here!
Hope all of you are doing well and staying flare free!
:love and spoons:
1. Hey look I finished an illustration (with the best nose I’ve ever done btw… just sayin’!)
2. Ya’ll are AMAZING and patient and kind and I have had so many kind messages in my absence and I love all of you!
3. Holy Mackral! Today we crossed the threshold and are actually up to 801 followers. And Most of those last hundred, I’ll admit, came while I was essentially… away from blog! So *THANK YOU* to everyone who continues to have faith in this blog and my work enough to KEEP SHARING even when I’m underground.
4. Pain willing… I’m hoping to have another illustration started and done and up by the end of the week. I’d like to get back to doing 2 or 3 a week, but a lot of that will depend on my pain and my summer class which is way more demanding than I anticipated.
Mostly though lovelies: THANK YOU. This project would not be possible without you all and I am so happy to be back doing what I truly love: representing all of YOU.

Image description: 5 color of photos of people baring skin and showing their colostomy bags. The top two are white women wearing bikinis, the middle two are shirtless men, one of whom is ripped, and the bottom photo is a white woman with a noticeable scar beside her bag.
I wish there were more body, gender, and racial diversity, but it’s great that folks with Crohn’s/folks who have colostomy bags are feeling empowered to wear what they want and not feel like they have to hide part of their body.
Hello My Lovelies!
I am back to working on illustrations (FINALLY!) It may be slow going again (having some residual pain issues after vacation and a weekend up at dad’s new ranch) but Hopefully I’ll have a new illustration up within a week.
Thank (as always) for all your patience. I look forward to illustrating all your beautiful faces again :)
Hello Lovelies! We are HOME!
Between major pain recovery, schoolwork, and just sort of… getting back into routines it may be a few days before I’m back to illustrations, but we are finally back at home and although it was a really WONDERFUL and much needed vacation- we are so glad to be back where we belong.
Thank you all for your patience and continued support- and I look forward to getting back to the grind (as it were) of working with all of your beautiful faces!
Hello my lovelies!
I am still alive :)
We survived the wedding in Tampa and are now at our last overnight before home, Slidell Louisiana.
Tomorrow we’re going to drive around New Orleans for a bit, then make our way back to Dallas.
I have an assignment due on Sunday, and then I’ll be working on editing the last of our trip photos. And THEN! Then I’ll get back to work on illustrations.
It’s been a really amazing trip. I’m in a lot of pain (that just seems to be getting worse) and have been really powering through a severe lack of spoons and a lot of pain- but it’s been really worthwhile.
I appreciate ya’lls patience during this break, and I look forward to getting back home and starting to illustrate all of your beautiful faces again.
:love and spoons:
Our trip is going well, I’m in… A looot of pain but still powering thru. It’ll be better when the wedding is over because there’ll be less schedule pressure.
Once we get back home (29th or so?) I hope to be able to sit down and work on illustrations pretty intently.
For now, we’re in Tampa till Sunday, then heading to Ormond beach, then starting the more touristy trip back to Texas, with one tourist stop in new Orleans.
Hope all my lovelies are doing well.

As noted in the last post (ask):
Some real life stuff has come up and kept me from doing illustrations in the last week or two. #1) i’m so so sorry #2)PSA is NOT over.
In addition to an intensive advanced illustrator course and the corresponding coursework, I’m dealing with a fairly significant pain flare. Back to wearing my compression gloves and spending more time in bed.
And as if that wasn’t enough: I am heading out on my very first real major vacation this coming week. We leave Tuesday and will be heading to Florida for my best friend’s wedding! We will likely be gone for 10+ days when all is said and done as we will be sort of… touristing around, and visiting other friends before and after the wedding.
I will have my laptop with me, but it’s going to depend a lot on my pain level while we travel if I can actually get any work done when we stop for the night etc.
My hope is that when we get back home I’ll have had a sufficient break to pick back up with more regularity to the illustrations and such. In other news, if you pre-ordered a copy of the PSA book, it’s going out in tomorrow’s mail and you will hopefully have it by the end of the week! :)
Other orders made between then and when I return will be mailed out.. well, when we get back from our trip.
As always, thank you so much for your continued love and support of PSA!

Anonymous said: Hey, are you okay? :) You haven't posted for a while xxx
Ack, yes nonnie, I’m so sorry!
I had a minor surgical procedure last week and it took me longer than I expected to recover, plus I’ve been trying to get 2 school assignments done before they’re due because… we’re leaving for a trip on Tuesday to go to my best friend’s wedding in Florida. So time not spent working on school stuff- has been spent preparing for our trip.
I will probably be working on illustrations a bit this week, but may not have anything new to post until we get back at the end of the month. :grimaces:
Sorry to keep everyone waiting (yet again). Life has been a bit of time-suck lately and it’s keeping me from doing what i really love… which is PSA!
It looks amazing in person and really the only tweak I’d probably do on future printings is to adjust the placement of the front cover image just a touch.
I’ll be signing the pre-order copies and getting them shipped out end of the week hopefully, and put up a listing for the other 5.
1 I’ll be keeping for myself because… duh.
I am so excited though, they really look beautiful in person and I can’t wait to share them with everyone!
There is a link up in the shop but only 5 copies are available so if you’re looking to own the first run- order now!
I’m hoping to do another printing of them, but can only do it if the first one sells.
Thank you again to everyone who has been part of this project! Looking forward to the next volume!
The PSA books…
And they look AMAZING. I’ll be taking some photos, then listing 5 of them (only 5!) in the shop. I’ll post a link when it’s up.
I’ll also be signing/messaging in the pre-ordered copies and should get those mailed out by end of the week.

That wheelchair is done so fabulously!
Thank you! I did it first so I could get as much detail in it as possible without having to muss with hiding a bunch of other stuff to get to it. I think it came out great!
